Jardin de la Main
'Four à cuisson culturel' is a project built in Jardin de la Main in Neuchâtel, with the aim of sharing an ancient, artisanal ceramic-firing technique capable of reaching very high temperatures. Conceived and built by Victor Sala and Laurent Chollet, the kiln is intended above all as a tool for encounter, experimentation, and sharing, designed for artists and the local public.
The project comes to life primarily through collective firings, where artists and interested participants can fire their pieces while enjoying pizzas prepared using the heat of the kiln, but also through production residencies and workshops open to different audiences. The objective is to keep local culture alive, support artistic creation, and create moments of exchange around practical and artisanal know-how.
Supported by Canton of Neuchâtel.
